Nuit Blanche / White Night

Nuit Blanche is French word, ‘White Night’ translated to English.

- nuit : (noun) night

- blanche : (adj) white

nuit

The all-night (a sleepless night) art festival is coming on this Saturday. It was launched last year, so it’s just 2nd yaer this year.

I’ve been really looking forward seeing it. I will go and enjoy it for sure.

Change my hairstyle

To switch of this mood, muster my motivation, and contend with IELTS again,

I will change my hairstyle!

I’m afraid not to be what I expect, though…

Our printer doesn’t work properly, so I took a picture of a image on the PC to show a hair stylist.

I only realized what the function called ‘Web Mode’ is after I took the picture. If we use ‘Web Mode’, we can photo it with proper colour.

I hope my hairstyle gonna be like that.

IELTS result arrived.

Unfortunately…

The scores this time were;

6.5/6.5/6.5/6.5, overrall 6.5

I was shocked because I expected I got 8 on reading. The writing was also not bad. Why 6.5…

I have to take it seriously. There isn’t enough time anymore. My visa is valid for 5 months, but I’ve got to go back Japan at the beginning of February. Within 4 months, in fact, I have to get 7.0 each, then apply for the immigration.

The first thing I have to do is I should make sure when is time boundaries of the application with my current visa. I don’t think it’s available to use an ordinaly process, not a new simple process, with the visa valid for 1 or 2 months.

Next exam schedule;

06.Oct … too late to apply. (should be 1 month before.)

20.Oct … a little bit risky. I’m not sure if less than one month is enough.

03.Nov… this result will arrive around 20th November.

Incidentally, the comparison of exams is the following. I try to get 8.0 on each section next time. The hard part of this situation is how to keep motivation for studying…

CAE / Pitman ESOL Higher Intermediate/ TOEIC score 701-910

Job-hunt tactics

10 job-hunt tactics, Penelope Trunk, is an interesting article.

The tactics are quite understandable and helpful to get a job.

The auther, Brazen Careerist, says;

1. Hire a cold caller.

2. Use proactive recommendations.

3. Stay organized with job hunt software.

4. Turn a non-job into a job.

5. Use social networking sites.

6. Date someone with a network.

7. Use U.S. mail.

8. Write a blog.

9. Comment on blogs.

10. Be nice.

Umm.. I should do like that.

Auto CAD in-house course was canceled, so I had to pay extra $130 to take on-line course.

My b.f went to a hospital to have surgery. I will take care of him for a while.

I called my previous company to ask my documents again. It made me nervous, a little bit.

I feel peaceful nowadays maybe because the test was finished. It’s a sure thing I can’t quit studying English unless I get a job and earn enough money to live and enjoy my life here.

I fervently want to change my hairstyle to new one.

Period. ;)
